What I hope to get out of this course

I am auditing this course.   I hope to learn more about learning and teaching in a digital world. My role and responsibilities as a teacher-librarian in the 21st century have become more challenging with information explosion and the use of Web 2.0 tools in teaching information literacy.   In teaching today's learners, I hope to learn more about how I can use technology in collaboration with classroom teachers and technology specialists "to provide instruction, learning strategies, and practice in using the essential learning skills needed in the 21st century", and "to select, evaluate, and use information appropriately and effectively."  I also hope to learn from my colleagues tried and tested digital tools in their classroom that have been effective in their students' learning.
